PLAYLIST: Festival Blues

Festival Blues Playlist

The arrival of Festival Number 6 this weekend means one thing, we have envied over our last festival line up this summer. With festival season over you can still reminisce over the acts you caught or wish you had with this playlist. Half Moon Run played Leeds and Reading festival, even the torrential rain couldn't cast an overcast on these beautiful harmonies. Coldplay's newest song Atlas is appearing on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack. Luckily, we won't be needing wellies and cagoule to catch this track, just the comfort of cinema seats and a large popcorn. Cat Fish and The Bottlemen appear on this playlist after their spectacular performance at Nottingham's own Dot to Dot Festival. The band have been magnificently praised by the likes of XFM, who have added them on to their 'bands we are most excited about' playlist. Although it may seem forever ago, it would be unforgivable to not mention the British festival, Glastonbury. Vampire Weekend presented their new album, Modern Vampires Of The City this single, Diana Young brings memories of shoulder barging your way to the barrier and screaming like an established fan.
And to finish the playlist, whether you were at the 1969 show or a few months back there is an unanimous vote, The Rolling Stones are the kings of putting on a hell of a festival.
