MTV Awards EMA 2013
The MTV awards, held at Amsterdam last night, couldn't go without controversy. Cyrus in a desperate attempt to shed the Disney star stigma pulled out what suspiciously like a spliff. She joked that her award for 'Best Video' couldn't fit in her purse but this could before lighting up. Quite the moving acceptance speech. She opened the MTV awards with her single 'Bangerz' from her latest album dancing with a dwarf dressed in latex. Miley also hit the red carpet with a backless dress embroidered with the names of rappers 'Tupac' and 'BIG Notorious.' Not quite the homage they deserve but a sweet sentiment all the same.
Packed with more surprises, the five time nominee, Justin Timberlake left empty handed. More expectedly, as the MTV awards are subject to public vote, One Direction came home with 2 awards. Beyonce won 'Best Live Preformer' after her world wide tour 'Mrs Carter.' However, the biggest success of the night was Eminem. He achieved a hatrick of awards, which were presented to him by Will Ferrell's character Ron Burgandy. Rapper, Marshall Mathers joked 'I love lamp' a reference from the iconic Anchor Man film.
